3 back to you guys: 3 covering our counties at four-- -- 3 a couple of upstate car chases and crashes... end with damage to deputies' cars!one happened today... anderson county deputies say they have driver in custody! custody!the sheriff's office says deputies started following a car with a stolen license plate on highway 187 around 11-30 this morning.when deputies tried to pull the car over... they say the driver sped off and that started a chase.they put out stop sticks on wham road...but say the suspect decided to put the car in reverse... and slammed into a deputy's cruiser instead.no one was hurt. hurt.deputies identified the driver as "taher darwish."he's charged with driving under suspension and failure to stop for blue lights. 3 and today's chase comes on the heels of one we brought you yesterday at four.an accused purse snatcher nabbed...after a chase that started outside an easley store and ended with a deputy's car crashed in

county!easley police say "joseph pfeiffer" stole a woman's purse at the academy sports store there.they say officers spotted him in the parking lot...and he took off in a stolen car! car!greenville county deputies joined the chase when it crossed into their area.police say pfeiffer slammed on his brakes at one point...causing a deputy to crash before speeding off again.k-9 officers and a helicopter were called in to search... pfieiffer was found about a half mile from the crash scene. he's now facing numerous charges... including attemped murder. 3 a greenville county road is back open this afternoon after a portion was shut down earlier due to a crash involving a cement truck. truck.the accident happened just before 10-30 this morning on blackwell road near highway 414 in the tigerville area.the trucking company's owner tells us the truck hit low-hanging power lines...pulling them down atop the truck along with a transformer.though the driver was briefly trapped inside until power crews

the sheriff's office says someone fired shots out of a nearby car. car.deputies say someone fired shots from a car along lamplighter lane during an argument...but no one was hurt. as a precaution..."east henderson high," "flat rock middle," and "hillandale elementary" were placed on lockdown just before one o'clock.the schools are just a few block from where the shooting happened.those lockdowns have since been lifted.deputies say the gunman fled in an older model, dark colored lincoln town car. anyone with info is asked to call the sheriff's office. 3 still to come-a look back 30 years after the shuttle challenger disaster... disaster...today marks the anniversary of a day in american history that will never be forgotten.the nation looked on...as the shuttle exploded just 73 seconds after launch. launch.the zika virus is spreading fast!the warning from world health experts... and why they're calling an emergency meeting! meeting!plus...pothole
